Yom Tel Hai 5786 โ€“ Betar Olamit conmemora el 11 de Adar

๐Ÿ“… February 26, 2026 | 11 Adar 5786

On Monday, February 26, 2026, 11 Adar 5786, the Betar movement commemorated in Israel the historic Yom Tel Hai, a symbol of heroism, honor, and the defense of the Jewish people in their land.

One hundred and six years ago, in 1920, the settlement of Tel Hai in the Upper Galilee fell. In its defense, eight Jewish fighters were killed, among them Commander Joseph Trumpeldor, whose legacy deeply shaped Jewish national consciousness.

The Meaning of Tel Hai for Betar

For Betar, Tel Hai is not merely a historical event. It is a moral compass.

The spirit of Hadar โ€” dignity, honor, and Jewish pride โ€” taught by the founder of the movement, Zeโ€™ev Jabotinsky, finds in Tel Hai a concrete expression: responsibility for the national destiny and the willingness to defend it.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ The 11th of Adar is a central date in the Betar educational calendar. On this day, we reaffirm:

  • Commitment to the defense of the State of Israel

  • Personal responsibility toward the Jewish people

  • The continuity of Revisionist Zionism

  • Leadership grounded in values and character

โ€œTov lamut beโ€™ad artzenuโ€

The words attributed to Trumpeldor โ€” โ€œIt is good to die for our landโ€ โ€” do not represent a glorification of death, but rather the ultimate affirmation of responsibility and dedication to the future of the Jewish people.

Betar educates for life, leadership, and nation-building. Yet it understands that national existence requires commitment, courage, and moral clarity.

Betar Today

More than a century after Tel Hai, the message remains relevant.

Betar Olamit continues to educate generations of young leaders with strong identity, active leadership, and Jewish pride.

๐Ÿฆ Yom Tel Hai is not the past.

It is the present. It is responsibility. It is Betar.

Tel Hai, Am Israel Chai.
