The Israel Balev Program

For people who want to contribute to the Israeli society and come motivated and with the desire to volunteer…. This is the program for you…….

 

Dates: July – December

Ages: 17-25

Cost: $ 5,500 + a plane ticket (**MASA scholarship available)

 

An Opening seminar in Jerusalem will last 3 days and will include a tour of the city.

 

Marva Army Training - 2 1/2 months July – Aug. 

Participants will go through basic training on an army base that will include weapon training, first aid, leadership skills and more.

 The program will include:

Field Training: Participants will be trained as soldiers in the field through courses on topics such as camouflage, ambushes, training exercises and survival training in both day and night. A few weekends will be spent in the military base and a few will be given off.

Enrichment Week: Includes visits to different institutions around Israel and sessions about a variety of subjects related to the Israeli army and Israeli society.

Galilee/Golan Week: During this week Marva will stay at a base in the north. In addition there will be tours in the north of Israel and visits to Army bases located at the border with Lebanon.

Sport week/Negev & Navigation Week.


 Jerusalem Volunteer Program + Kibbutz volunteering –

 lasts 2 months Aug. – November: Participants will work with needy families and Ethiopian immigrants in community centers and neighborhoods in the Jerusalem area, and assist the Jerusalem Municipality in teaching English, along with other projects.

Participants will live in a furnished apartment in Jerusalem and experience independence and living in a real life Israeli setting.

In the Kibbutz, participants will volunteer and get to know life on a Kibbutz.
JNF seminars combined with World Betar's Shabbatonim will take place throughout the year, as well as a one week seminar in the Ariel College (Judea and Samaria College).
