 The Betar World Leadership is the central co-ordinating body which connects the many Betar branches throughout the world.The World Leadership in the current period is striving, via its shlichim, and via the local leaderships throughout the Gola, to continue the united and determined campaign to maintain Jerusalem as the united and eternal capital of the Jewish People. Within the framework of this campaign, the World Leadership is organizing a wide variety of activities. Aliyah to Israel represents the fulfilment of the Betar idea in the Gola, and each year the movement absorbs hundreds of Olim, who go on to join the IDF and continue their activities in the movement in Israel.

Dozens of Betarim protested at Ben Gurion Airport against Swedish reporter Donald Bostrom, who wrote a mendacious article accusing IDF soldiers of trading Palestinian organs. The Betarim booed him, and made it clear that anti-semites are not welcomed in Israel. The protest was reported at Ynet, The Jerusalem Post and Arutz 7, Israel's leading news websites. The protest was also reported at Israel's national radio station - Reshet Bet.
